TIGER GRANT
The City of Onawa is excited is the opportunity and direction to apply for the Transportation Infrastructure Grant for Economic Recovery, or TIGER Grant, through the Federal Government. If we receive the TIGER Grant award, this can help the City fund and complete many projects that enhance our transportation infrastructure at a fraction of a cost to all of us and the City in general. For this grant application the City needs your help. The city is now involved with a Facebook page and there are documents available for downloaded that you can upload and complete on Facebook or on the City’s webpage (www.onawa.com). If as many residents as possible complete and sign either a supporter or sponsorship letter or application can rise to the top for review by the decision makers. If you would like to submit a letter of support, then download the support letter for the individual or business depending on your needs. There is no financial commitment for you to do this. If you would like to contribute, in any amount as small as a dollar ($1.00) to as much as you can afford, then complete the sponsor letter, as an individual or business; again what fits your situation, and stipulate how much you are willing to donate to the City’s project. No funds are due at this time, and will not be requested from the pledges until the City is actually awarded the TIGER Grant. If you need further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
